Let your inquisitive and tinkering little ones explore a variety of activities through the Tinker Tots Class! In this class, your child will encounter music and movement, math and literacy activities, science experiments, arts and crafts, story telling and more! These activities will help build children’s self-help skills, imagination and problem solving skills. These will also improve comprehension of basic concepts as they count, measure, read, build, create and move!

Lessen your child’s screen time and help them become more physically active while learning new skills! Taekwondo is a Korean form of martial arts characterized by punching and kicking techniques. Our Taekwondo Class will teach kids discipline and self-defense, as well as improve their fine and gross motor skills, cardio, flexibility and coordination. It will improve your child’s overall physical health while having fun and making new friends. Students will get their certificate and be eligible for promotion to yellow belt upon completion of this module. Ideal for kids with lots of energy and no background in martial arts!

Top Tots Academy’s Mandarin for Kids Program is a theme-based class which aims to familiarize young children to the basics of the Mandarin language. It exposes the children mainly to listening and speaking in the language, as well as introduces them to beginning word recognition, reading and writing. The class is conducted with an interactive learning environment with fun songs, stories, arts and crafts, music and movement, hands-on activities, and simple worksheets and writing exercises.

Short Program Description:
Top Tots Academy’s Mandarin for Kids Program is a theme-based class that aims to expose and train young children to listening and speaking in Mandarin, the world’s second most spoken language. The program offers play-based and interactive activities to hone listening, speaking (words, phrases, and simple conversational sentences), reading (through word recognition), and simple writing (of basic writing strokes and simple Chinese characters). Children enjoy a rich learning environment with stories, fun songs, arts and crafts, music and movement, hands-on activities, and simple activity sheets and writing exercises. Online sessions last 40 to 45 minutes, while face to face classes last 1 hour per session.

STORY-GAMI
Ages 3.5 to 6 years old by June 1, 2022
Let your kids explore the traditional art of Japanese paper folding, known as Origami, while introducing them to early reading skills through storytelling. This module will introduce Aesop’s Fables. We will explore the wonderful world of animals — their habitat, sounds and other fun facts. We will introduce different storybooks and include phonemic awareness, phonics instruction, fluency and reading comprehension through varied class activities. Each class will also include an origami activity related to the story for the day which will train kids to follow instructions, challenge their fine motor skills, eye-hand coordination, sequencing and spacial skills. Some kids might need some help when following the sequences in the Origami activity, so adult presence is requested.

MANDARIN FOR KIDS

Step into the animal world this summer with Top Tots Academy’s Mandarin for Kids program! The 12-session play-based online class will introduce children to action songs, stories, recognizing and identifying various pet, farm and zoo animals, as well as hands-on and movement activities. The program aims to develop listening and speaking skills among younger children. Kids will learn basic Chinese words, phrases and short sentences, greetings, action words, opposite words, positional words, counting, and more. Children with zero to minimal Chinese background will benefit from being exposed to the Mandarin language.

Step into the animal world this summer with Top Tots Academy’s Mandarin for Kids program! The 12-session play-based online class will introduce children to action songs, stories, recognizing and identifying various pet, farm and zoo animals, as well as hands-on and movement activities. The program aims to develop listening and speaking skills among younger children. Kids will learn basic Chinese words, phrases and short sentences, greetings, action words, opposite words, positional words, counting, and more. Children with zero to minimal Chinese background will benefit from being exposed to the Mandarin language.

Let your kids explore the traditional art of Japanese paper folding, known as Origami, while introducing them to early reading and literacy skills, as well as science concepts, through storytelling. For these Story-Gami modules, we will be reading Aesop’s Fables. We will discuss the lessons we can get from the stories and explore the wonderful world of these animals—their habitat, the sounds they make and other fun facts about the animals featured in each story.
